Our First Pool Trip of the Year

We decided after church Sunday to go for dip in the pool.  Last year it was easy we all threw on our suits and hopped in the car... well this year we found it a bit more difficult with little Caden.  We realized first we needed swim diapers so a trip to CVS solved that.  Then we had to find his summer hat, blow up float, swim suit, etc.  When we finally had everything we loaded up and headed to the Brumby pool.  Once there Grayson is always easy we just spray him with sunscreen and he is off!  Caden took more work 1. change into swim diaper (I learned with Grayson not to put them on until we were at the pool bc they leak!) 2. sunscreen 3. swim suit 4. hat 5. blow up raft 6. finally time for the pool.

Caden actually did a great job in the water he really enjoyed it! Grayson is swimming laps now so that makes it easier for us all!  I think it is about time for Grayson to either take lessons to work on the other strokes or allow his mom to teach him.  He will be a great swimmer just like his mom!

So proud of both of my boys.  I really feel like God blessed me with two of the most loving and perfect boys a mom could ask for.  Caden is content just being held and loved on.  Grayson loves exploring and learning.  I will cherish these days I have with them over the summer!

Four Months

I really have to say it is hard to believe that Caden is already four months old.  I know my mother used to always tell me that times flies and you blink and your children are grown.  Well I have to say she was so right. I now have a 7 year old and a four month old, but I can say that I could not be more blessed.  These boys are truly my life and of course JR too :)

So here is the latest with Caden.  He weighed in at 12 lbs 14 oz (10%) and 25.5 in (75%), which was very alarming since at two months he was 12 lbs 4 oz.  I am happy to report after starting rice cereal in 8 days he was up 13 lbs and 9 oz!  Caden loves his rice cereal from the first spoon full.  He now knows when I put him in the Bumbo it is dinner time.  He has also figured out that tummy time is not a must all he has to do is roll right over, which he does immediatly now.  So I am hoping he still crawls but only time will tell.  He is getting very strong and can sit up with support.

His schedule changes depending on what time I have to wake him up to leave for his inhome daycare.  He eats around 5 oz. every four hours.  He enjoys playing and taking around 2-3 naps a day.  He is sleeping great now for about 8 hours at night.
Yes his eyes are always this wide!

Mother's Day 2010

What an amazing day full of family, church and food.  We went to Noonday for a wonderful service that really spoke to our hearts!  After church my family came over for a low key cookout.  It was so nice to just relax and spend quality time with my husband, parents, sister and boys.  Later in the evening we had JR's Mar and sister over for Marietta Pizza Co.  Oh how we love there pizza and they deliver to us which makes it even better.  We decided not to buy gifts this year and instead donated the money to The Hope Center.  It is a  Christian based pregnancy prevention center near our church.  What a blessed and wonderful day we had!

The Shrine Circus

We decided to go to the Circus last Thursday at Jim Miller Fair Grounds.  Grayson enjoyed the animal acts the best especially the elephants.  Me personally is not in love with the idea of the animals being used in the circus, but I would do anything for little G.  Caden somehow managed to sleep through the majority of it.  It is such a blessing that he can sleep during loud noises.
The Elephant "sitting"
Grayson had such a great time! He enjoyed his hotdog, chips and icecream sandwhich!
One of the coolest parts of the show.  The horses or "unicorns" are very well trained to run in a circle, bow and pose.

All of the boys :)

Caden finally rolled over!

So Caden absolutely hates tummy time so we never thought he would start rolling over.... April 21st he finally had enough of tummy time and there he went.  Poor little guy is all head so it was quite the accomplishment! Now he is on his tummy a maximum of a minute before he rolls right over!
