Four Months

I really have to say it is hard to believe that Caden is already four months old.  I know my mother used to always tell me that times flies and you blink and your children are grown.  Well I have to say she was so right. I now have a 7 year old and a four month old, but I can say that I could not be more blessed.  These boys are truly my life and of course JR too :)

So here is the latest with Caden.  He weighed in at 12 lbs 14 oz (10%) and 25.5 in (75%), which was very alarming since at two months he was 12 lbs 4 oz.  I am happy to report after starting rice cereal in 8 days he was up 13 lbs and 9 oz!  Caden loves his rice cereal from the first spoon full.  He now knows when I put him in the Bumbo it is dinner time.  He has also figured out that tummy time is not a must all he has to do is roll right over, which he does immediatly now.  So I am hoping he still crawls but only time will tell.  He is getting very strong and can sit up with support.

His schedule changes depending on what time I have to wake him up to leave for his inhome daycare.  He eats around 5 oz. every four hours.  He enjoys playing and taking around 2-3 naps a day.  He is sleeping great now for about 8 hours at night.
Yes his eyes are always this wide!

Mother's Day 2010

What an amazing day full of family, church and food.  We went to Noonday for a wonderful service that really spoke to our hearts!  After church my family came over for a low key cookout.  It was so nice to just relax and spend quality time with my husband, parents, sister and boys.  Later in the evening we had JR's Mar and sister over for Marietta Pizza Co.  Oh how we love there pizza and they deliver to us which makes it even better.  We decided not to buy gifts this year and instead donated the money to The Hope Center.  It is a  Christian based pregnancy prevention center near our church.  What a blessed and wonderful day we had!

The Shrine Circus

We decided to go to the Circus last Thursday at Jim Miller Fair Grounds.  Grayson enjoyed the animal acts the best especially the elephants.  Me personally is not in love with the idea of the animals being used in the circus, but I would do anything for little G.  Caden somehow managed to sleep through the majority of it.  It is such a blessing that he can sleep during loud noises.
The Elephant "sitting"
Grayson had such a great time! He enjoyed his hotdog, chips and icecream sandwhich!
One of the coolest parts of the show.  The horses or "unicorns" are very well trained to run in a circle, bow and pose.

All of the boys :)

Caden finally rolled over!

So Caden absolutely hates tummy time so we never thought he would start rolling over.... April 21st he finally had enough of tummy time and there he went.  Poor little guy is all head so it was quite the accomplishment! Now he is on his tummy a maximum of a minute before he rolls right over!

Loving Life

We are loving every second of Spring!  Many dinners have already been eaten outside!  Now if summer will hurry up so I am back at home with the boys and the pools are open!  Caden sneezes a lot but hopefully he will outgrow the allergies because we live outside!
We enjoyed the Big Shanty Festival last weekend in downtown Kennesaw. We spent the day with friends and family enjoying the food and sunshine. Grayson bought a really cool bow and arrow from a local vender with the money he had earned!

Grayson had so much fun!
He slept through most of it

Spring is here!!

We absolutely love spring!!  We have been locked inside for way too long and now we can't stand being indoors.  We try and walk every night, Caden can ride in the baby carrier facing out.  He loves looking around and feeling the wind on his little cheeks.  Grayson enjoys our walks because he practices riding his bike so one day soon we can take the dirt bike's training wheels off (he has to be really good at riding his bike for this to happen).
We also are enjoying the grill again!  We had first "party" of the season.  It was so much fun with all of the babies and kids running around the yard.  JR and I kept laughing because the house was empty around 9... oh how our parties/get togethers have changed :)
We have loved having JR home for Spring Break this year as he gears up to start a new/old job Monday.  He is going to be the shop manager at Fortec where he formally worked.

Easter Weekend

We enjoyed a very fun and relaxing Easter weekend with family and friends.  The weather has been just perfect so we enjoyed being outside.  Grayson went to an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at Maple First Methodist and had so much fun.  He collected 67 eggs and was very proud!  Allie and Elijah joined us later at the festival and were able to spend a lot of time together.  Later that evening we grilled out with Dana and Justin which was much needed!  Sunday we went to Small Group and Church at Noonday Baptist.  We had a great service with the boys!  After church we went to my parents for a low key lunch of hotdogs and such.  It was nice to eat outside and enjoy time with my family.  After that were went to Whitlock's Grille with JR's family.  It was a busy weekend but we enjoyed every second!
