Beach Trip

We were able to take a trip to Panama City Beach with friends and family this year.  Our good friends Allison and Scott were able to let us stay at their families condo.  The condo was perfect, it was on the first floor and led straight out to the beach.  Dana, Justin and their two little girls, Harper and Kylie came, along with my sister Allison and her little boy Elijah.
The trip was planned for JR and I to be down there for our friend's wedding Kacee and Biannca Holmes, JR was a groomsmen in the wedding.  It meant a lot to us to be able to celebrate with them because without Kacee, JR and I would not have met!  The wedding was on the beach and the weather turned out perfect!
The rest of our trip was spent with the kids and friends.  We had a canapy tent that the babies sat under and a blow up pool for the older ones to play in when we at the beach.  Caden loved the wind in his face and the sound of the ocean!  He spent most of his time in his swing or bouncer under the tent!  Grayson also had a great time playing in the ocean and finding animals.  He is a great swimmer so I do not have to worry too much when he is in the water... I just do not let him get too far away.  We also were able to spend time with just Grayson by taking him on a banana boat ride.  Grayson really enjoyed his time with just us without Caden.

5 Months

I am starting to see a totally new little boy these last couple of months!  I can not believe how much he is growing a changing!  This month here are some of the new things:

- He tried... green sweet peas, sweet potatoes, carrotts, green beans, pears and apples  and of course he loves the fruit the best so he only gets 1/2 a jar if he eats all of his veggies

- He rolls around the house and I find him in new locations

- He laughs when things/people are funny

- He is sleeping from about 9pm - 8 am

- He is starting to sit up a bit without help but ends up doing a face plant if I am not careful

- Whitewater was a first

- He loves loves loves water including the pool

- He drank water from a bottle

I am sure there are other first but that is all I have for now...  I really can't believe how fast babies change in the first year!!

I love his facial expression in this picture!!  This was one of our dinner swim trips.  We enjoy ordering pizza and swimming when JR gets off work.  Caden also enjoys it because he is not sweating to death in the evening!

Caden playing with Harper and Aiden!

What a sweet little face!!
Sitting in his rocker... not so sure about it.

Summer Time

We are enjoying every second of the summer together!  I love being a teacher because it means I am able to stay him with my sweet angels.  I am also keep my nephew Elijah this summer so I have 3 little boys!  We try and do something kid related everyday!  This can get tricky because it is so hot outside!  Most days we end up at a pool to stay cool.  Other days we go to storytime at the library, chick-fil-a to play and have icecream, movies, chuck-e-cheese, playdates, the park and the list goes on and on!  We also bought White Water season passes and look forward to using those every week.  I have yet to go without JR so I am not sure how that is going to work exactly with all the boys!

Enjoying a playdate with Kylie which included playdough!  Elijah love Kylie and thinks they are married.  It is too cute to see them play together!

Barnes and Noble listening to the Atlanta Beat Soccer players read.  This was so funny because Elijah talked them into reading him a Spiderman book.  Grayson did great and enjoyed talking to them about soccer

Our first trip to White Water last Wednesday June 16th.  The boys had a blast playing in the Wiggles World, splashing in the wave pool, and floating down the lazy river.  Caden enjoying getting wet in one of the pools and sleeping in his stroller.

The boys love playing outside with slime that they call goop!

They also love playing in the sandbox especially since "Fafa" bought them really cool trucks and toys for it!  They will still in the sand for hours which is nice for me :)

Our First Pool Trip of the Year

We decided after church Sunday to go for dip in the pool.  Last year it was easy we all threw on our suits and hopped in the car... well this year we found it a bit more difficult with little Caden.  We realized first we needed swim diapers so a trip to CVS solved that.  Then we had to find his summer hat, blow up float, swim suit, etc.  When we finally had everything we loaded up and headed to the Brumby pool.  Once there Grayson is always easy we just spray him with sunscreen and he is off!  Caden took more work 1. change into swim diaper (I learned with Grayson not to put them on until we were at the pool bc they leak!) 2. sunscreen 3. swim suit 4. hat 5. blow up raft 6. finally time for the pool.

Caden actually did a great job in the water he really enjoyed it! Grayson is swimming laps now so that makes it easier for us all!  I think it is about time for Grayson to either take lessons to work on the other strokes or allow his mom to teach him.  He will be a great swimmer just like his mom!

So proud of both of my boys.  I really feel like God blessed me with two of the most loving and perfect boys a mom could ask for.  Caden is content just being held and loved on.  Grayson loves exploring and learning.  I will cherish these days I have with them over the summer!

Four Months

I really have to say it is hard to believe that Caden is already four months old.  I know my mother used to always tell me that times flies and you blink and your children are grown.  Well I have to say she was so right. I now have a 7 year old and a four month old, but I can say that I could not be more blessed.  These boys are truly my life and of course JR too :)

So here is the latest with Caden.  He weighed in at 12 lbs 14 oz (10%) and 25.5 in (75%), which was very alarming since at two months he was 12 lbs 4 oz.  I am happy to report after starting rice cereal in 8 days he was up 13 lbs and 9 oz!  Caden loves his rice cereal from the first spoon full.  He now knows when I put him in the Bumbo it is dinner time.  He has also figured out that tummy time is not a must all he has to do is roll right over, which he does immediatly now.  So I am hoping he still crawls but only time will tell.  He is getting very strong and can sit up with support.

His schedule changes depending on what time I have to wake him up to leave for his inhome daycare.  He eats around 5 oz. every four hours.  He enjoys playing and taking around 2-3 naps a day.  He is sleeping great now for about 8 hours at night.
Yes his eyes are always this wide!

Mother's Day 2010

What an amazing day full of family, church and food.  We went to Noonday for a wonderful service that really spoke to our hearts!  After church my family came over for a low key cookout.  It was so nice to just relax and spend quality time with my husband, parents, sister and boys.  Later in the evening we had JR's Mar and sister over for Marietta Pizza Co.  Oh how we love there pizza and they deliver to us which makes it even better.  We decided not to buy gifts this year and instead donated the money to The Hope Center.  It is a  Christian based pregnancy prevention center near our church.  What a blessed and wonderful day we had!

The Shrine Circus

We decided to go to the Circus last Thursday at Jim Miller Fair Grounds.  Grayson enjoyed the animal acts the best especially the elephants.  Me personally is not in love with the idea of the animals being used in the circus, but I would do anything for little G.  Caden somehow managed to sleep through the majority of it.  It is such a blessing that he can sleep during loud noises.
The Elephant "sitting"
Grayson had such a great time! He enjoyed his hotdog, chips and icecream sandwhich!
One of the coolest parts of the show.  The horses or "unicorns" are very well trained to run in a circle, bow and pose.

All of the boys :)
