Motor Home Travels

This past weekend I took off with my parents in their motor home for the weekend.  We went to Savannah for the WERA motorcycle race.  My dad races motorcycles and they also run a Children's Ministry at the race track.  The children of the racers come on Saturday and Sunday to hear about Jesus adn complete a craft.  I decided that it would fun to take Grayson (7), Caden(2 months) and my nephew Elijah (3).  We had a lot fun but was very tired after a fun filled weekend.   At times my mom and I questioned our decision :) but it was worth it!  The boys had a lot fun watching the races and finding my dad among the other racers.

Grayson singing at church

Grayson sang with his friends from Sunday School. It was so sweet to hear the little kids sing about Jesus!! It always melts my heart!

After they sang they were all asked what they can do to help. Here is Grayson's answer:

Baby Dedication at Noonday Baptist Church

Today was baby dedication at our church Noonday Baptist. We had Grayson and Caden dedicated today. That means we pledge to raise them in church, teach them the way and how to follow Christ. We were so proud to have both sides of our family there along with our closest friends. It made the day so very special!!

After the dedication we took some pictures of the boys...

Caden is One Month Old!

We are enjoying all of the time we have as a family. I can not believe that Caden is one month old already! Time is flying by way too fast! Here are a few pictures of the little man :)

We are almost finished with Caden's room! I absolutely love his room. It is such a peaceful and relaxing place to be.

It has been way too long!

SO... a lot has happened since I wrote last. I am going to try and be a lot better about updating!

First- Caden Alan Flanagan joined our family January 6th at 3:04 pm. He weighed 6 pounds and 15 oucnes and was 19.5 inches long. I was induced that morning around 9:00 am so he was born very quickly! The labor and delivery went great, the only problem I had was with my epidural. I am enjoying every second I have home with him and am dreading returning back to work March 31st. The only positive is that I only have 6 weeks there until summer.
Second- Grayson turned 7 on February 7th! We had his party at Monster Golf in Kennesaw. He had a great time celebrating with friends and family. It really is hard to believe that he is growing up so fast! I am also loving all the time I have to spend with him. Caden and I try and go to have lunch with him once a week at school. He really enjoys us coming and is such a proud big brother! So Proud and Happy to be a big brother!!!
Life is great!

"Modified" Bedrest

So I have been on modified bedrest since Monday now.... and I am OVER IT!!! I love this baby so much but geez! I was put on bedrest because I was making too much progress too fast and too early. I am only on bedrest for a week which will get me to 37 weeks and that is considered full term. Modified bedrest means that I am only allowed to sit or lay down. When I need to go somewhere someone had to push me in a wheelchair :) The only downfall to all of this is that it happened during Christmas. Who can sit and do nothing Christmas day when you have a 6 year old? I have also had contractions 10-20 minutes apart since Thursday which is painful! Anyway, I am excited to go the doctor tomorrow and see what is going on now and be removed from bedrest!!

Baby Shower

It has been a long time since I have posted a blog so I have a lot to add.... so here goes! I have had three baby showers!! My friends and coworkers really blessed JR and I.
The first shower was coed and at my house. My sister and bestfriends (Allison Tate, Molly Saft and Dana West) threw the shower and it was perfect! They did such a great job from the food to decorations to games! The shower was November 15th the day after I was released from the hospital. We receieved so many nice presents and got to spend time with our friends and family. It was a very fun and special time for us!

The second shower I had was thrown by my girls from Sunday School. We all met for dinner at Zucca in Kennesaw. It was a lot of fun to eat and talk to the girls. Our Sunday School class has had 8 pregnancies in the past 3-4 months so there was a lot of advice to go around!

The last shower I had was a surprise shower thrown by my coworkers. Somehow they managed to keep the shower a total surprise! The third grade team did a great job!! It was so much fun!!
